Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone officially launched

On the morning of April 21, the opening ceremony of China (guangdong) pilot free trade zone was held in Nansha, Guangzhou. Provincial Party Secretary Mr.Hu Chunhua unveiled the China (Guangdong) pilot free trade zone. The chief executive of the Hong Kong SAR government, Mr Leung chun-ying, attended the listing ceremony. Governor Zhu Xiaodan delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, unveiling the work office of Guangdong pilot free trade zone and the administrative committee of each zone of the pilot free trade zone.

Provincial leaders Huang Longyun, Ma Xingrui, Lin sheng, Ren Xuefeng, Li Jia, Zhao Yufang, Liang Weifa, director-general of the department of administrative and legal affairs of the Macao Special Administrative Region government Chen Haifan, consular officials of central units in Guangzhou, foreign consulates in Guangzhou, representatives of Hong Kong and Macao business associations and fortune 500 enterprises attended the listing ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Xu Shaohua, member of the standing committee of the provincial Party committee and executive vice governor.

Zhu Xiaodan pointed out that Guangdong is the country's reform and opening up provinces. China's approval of the establishment of the China (Guangdong) pilot free trade zone fully demonstrates the great importance it attaches to and the great expectations it has for Guangdong. It has injected new and powerful impetus into our efforts to comprehensively deepen reform and opening-up and deepen closer cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. China (Guangdong) pilot free trade zone was listed, marking the official start of the construction of Guangdong pilot free trade zone.

Guangdong will adhere to the pilot free trade zone construction as a comprehensive deepening of reform and opening up the first project, and strive to take the lead in the national pilot free trade zone construction. Guangdong sincerely welcomes investors and service providers from all over the world, especially from Hong Kong and Macao, to seize the opportunity and take an active part in the construction and development of Guangdong pilot free trade zone. Guangdong will, under the correct leadership of the CPC central committee and the state council, with the help from Hong Kong and Macao SAR government and caring from the relevant ministries and commissions of the state under the guidance and support from the business sector, tried to build China (Guangdong) free trade area, Hong Kong and Macao to be an in-depth cooperation of the construction of the demonstration zone, along the "one-belt-one-road area" of the strategic hub and a new round of reform and opening to the outside of the country's leading to make new contributions to national reform and opening up and modernization construction.

At the opening ceremony, Leung Chun-Ying, Zhu Xiao-Dan and Chen Haifan awarded the licenses for Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao (international) youth innovation workshop, Qianhai-Hong Kong Advantageous industry development base and Hengqin- Macao youth entrepreneurship valley project. Provincial and municipal leaders, together with special guests from Hong Kong and Macao, presented plaques and certificates to representatives of enterprises and institutions entering the pilot free trade zone.
